Stone cladding is the process of fixing an external skin of natural stone to an inner skin of blockwork or steel frame.
This method is very popular on new build projects as it provides the appearance of a stone built property but with the added strength and thermal properties of a modern build.
Another key factor is that the stone can be manufactured from thinner slabs, ranging from 40mm upwards. This in turn reduces materials costs significantly over solid stone blocks.
During the design stage we are happy to liaise with the architect or structural engineer to discuss and advise in regards to fixing methods. As part of our package we can supply all necessary brackets, dowels, resins etc to carry out the works.
All fixings used are Stainless Steel and can be custom made to meet the requirements of each individual project.
